3 Year Visit: Independence & Imagination

Previous Visit

Next Visit

RECAP:

Fears

Show your child that you take their fears seriously by offering a favorite blanket, nightlight, or by leaving the door open.

Behavior

Asking why is a normal part of your child's development. Be patient with them, and with yourself, as they try to figure out the world.

Emotions

Your child learns how to handle their emotions by watching you. Try to regain your calm if you get upset.

Safety: Emergency Preparedness

Help your child learn your full name and phone number, and pin this information inside their clothing when going to crowded spaces.
